Refund Policy for Joy Through Music

1. Overview

Joy Through Music aims to provide high-quality, enjoyable, and accessible musical experiences. This Refund Policy outlines how payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled for our programmes, workshops, and events.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • All sessions, courses, and events must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Your place is confirmed once payment has been received.

3. Cancellations by You

a) Regular Sessions / Weekly Groups (Paid Termly)

  • If you are unable to attend a session, payments are generally non-refundable.

  • At our discretion, we may offer a transfer to a future session where sufficient notice is given (minimum 24 hours).

b) Courses or One Off Sessions

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the start date: full refund or credit offered.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date: 50% refund or credit may be offered.

  • Cancellations made less than 48hrs before the start date are non-refundable.

  • Once a course has started, refunds are not normally available for missed sessions.

c) Workshops and One-Off Events

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance: full refund or credit.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance: no refund, except in exceptional circumstances.

4. Cancellations by Us

If Joy Through Music cancels a session, course, or event:

  • You will be offered the option to transfer your booking to a future date or alternative session

We are not liable for any additional costs incurred (e.g. travel expenses).

5. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen situations arise. Refunds or credits outside of the above terms may be considered at our discretion in cases such as illness or emergencies.

6. Non-Attendance

Failure to attend a booked session without prior notice as stated above will not qualify for a refund or credit.

7. Transfers

Where possible, bookings may be transferred to another participant with prior agreement. Please contact us in advance (minimum 2 weeks) to arrange this.

8. Refund Method

  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method where possible.

  • Please allow up to 7–10 working days for processing.
